Young People

To actively encourage our young people to engage with their heritage we introduced FREE admission to our sites for Manx school children and young people aged 18 and under in full time education on the Isle of Man.  The ACE scheme is supported by Lloyds TSB  and cards are handed out at the Island’s schools each year.

Young people aged 12 and over are free to visit on their own or with friends but we ask that under 12’s are accompanied by a responsible adult.  Look out for events and activities developed specifically for young people and children. Find our more.

Look out for career development opportunities with MNH.  We offer work experience placements, university student placements, youth volunteering opportunities and guidance.

MuseIOM – Bringing the past to the future!

MuseIOM is a new group set up by and for 13 – 19 year olds. Run by young people for young people it offers you the chance to have a say in the future of Manx National Heritage.  Join in and help us to develop, create and review exciting new projects.  You can get involved with museum projects; see behind the scenes; volunteer at special event days; develop new skills and become youth advocates for MNH.
